It’s been 20 years since the last WORLD CUP WEEKEND and it’s back!
The SSRA is teaming up with FC Alliance South to create an epic World Cup style tournament on July 18-19, 2026!
> 5v5 for U10, U13, and U16 boys and girls.
> 7v7 for U17 to Adult.
> All turf fields at the Shawnee Sports Complex.
> Teams register and pick their country of choice. Prizes for the most creative team uniform design.
> Group assignments will be formed randomly on a Facebook live feed.
> Each group will have a maximum of 12 teams. Three groups of four teams play in a round robin on Saturday.
> Top two teams from each group advance to the knockout quarterfinals, semifinals, and championships at 12pm, 1pm, and 2pm on Sunday.
> World Cup Watch Party starts at 3:00pm!
> Cost is $30 per player.
> 25 minute matches.
> West Virginia Soccer Association approved.
> Registration opens on Star Wars Day, May 4th!

What is the Shawnee Park Foundation?
The Shawnee Park Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting, enhancing, and sustaining the Shawnee Sports Complex and the surrounding park space for the benefit of the community.
Through fundraising, partnerships, and community engagement, the Foundation works to ensure the complex continues to grow as a premier destination for youth and amateur sports, recreation, and tourism in West Virginia. Its efforts help drive economic impact, attract regional and national tournaments, and create opportunities for athletes, families, and visitors alike.
In addition to supporting the facility itself, the Shawnee Park Foundation focuses on long-term improvements, accessibility, and programming that make the park a welcoming space for everyone, from local residents to traveling teams, while strengthening the region’s economy and quality of life.
